Bryan Burge CS Leader I'm 16 and have been a St. Pete Beach native all my life.  I surf for Surf Shack and Mullet Wear, I was really excited to hear there was going to be a Christian Surfers Chapter here in St. Pete because at the time I was just starting to get into the word and wanting to grow and teach others, and to hear there was an organization of Christian "Surfers"

I thought that was the coolest thing to get involved in! I grew up in a Christian school up into this year, so I have always heard The Message and His word everyday but it didn’t really sink in till about 9 months ago.  At the beginning of this summer I went to Costa Rica on a missions trip and it changed my life forever!! I want to preach the Word and spread the Gospel so bad and I thought it would be a good idea to get involved with Christian Surfers to preach to surfers, since I am one, and because most of my friends are surfers and need the to hear the Message so bad! My favorite verse is:
Joshua 1:8 & 9

8 Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. 9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go."  This verse really challenged me because you know how it is with unchristian friends and family and how easily you can get scared or discouraged, but we should be strong and courageous, that’s why this is my favorite verse.
